Why 925 Sterling Silver, Not “Silver Plated”
There is a large gap between jewelry described as “silver” and jewelry that actually is silver. Buyers who have been burned once check the hallmark forever after. Here is exactly what we supply.
- 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver alloyed with copper. The international standard for fine silver jewelry.
- Solid, not plated. The metal body is silver. There is no brass or copper core underneath.
- Hallmarkable. Pieces can be struck with the 925 / S925 hallmark, plus your own brand mark.
- Re-workable. If a customer sends a piece back for resizing or repair, a silversmith can actually work with it — which is not true of plated base metal.

Plating and Finishes
Raw silver tarnishes and looks soft. Plating is what makes a silver piece look like a finished product. Available finishes:
- Rhodium plated — bright white, tarnish-resistant, the closest look to white gold
- 18K yellow gold plated — warm gold look at a silver price point
- Rose gold plated — pink warm tone, popular in bridal and fashion lines
- Black rhodium — high-contrast dark finish for fashion and men’s lines
- E-coating — an optional clear protective layer to extend plating life
Frequently Asked Questions
Is your silver 925 or 999?
925 sterling silver. 999 fine silver is too soft for rings, clasps and settings — it bends and wears out. 925 is the standard for jewelry that gets worn.
What is your MOQ on silver jewelry?
From 30 pieces per design. 30–100 pieces per design is the usual range, depending on the style and stone.
Will the plating wear off?
All plated jewelry has a service life — that is true of every supplier, including brands selling at ten times our price. What we control is plating thickness, surface preparation and the optional e-coat, which together give a noticeably longer wear life than a thin flash plating.
Can you combine moissanite with 925 silver?
That is the combination we manufacture most. See wholesale moissanite jewelry for stone grades and options.
Can I order silver pieces with no stone at all?
Yes. Plain silver designs, and silver designs set with stones you supply or specify, are both normal orders for us.
